On Thursday 11th October 2018, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Carlo Guerra will led the free workshop:
Acting for changing. Theory and experiences of Fixed Role Therapy
During a conference held in Memphis in 1987, the English psychologist Miller Mair stated that the most important element in the storytelling lies in the finction considered as a creative instrument that exceeds reality. A fiction that is not lived as a mere invention but as a plausible construction. When the storytelling is dramatized, the result is the theatre. When the theatre enters the clinic through the Psychology of Personal Constructs, the result is the Fixed Role Therapy. This workshop will demonstrate the symbolic and creative power of the “as if”. It will also invite to experience how the fiction, if it's rigorously codified on the methodological and theoretical aspect, represents a powerful accelerator for the personal change.
Carlo Guerra, Psychologist and Psychotherapist, Teacher and Supervisor of the ICP School of Constructivist Psychotherapy.
The workshop will be held at our School, via Martiri della Libertà 13 – Padova. The admission is free but reservation is required (tel. 0498751669; email scuola@icp-italia.it).
Please note the workshop is only in Italian
