Andrea Squerzanti and Elisa Michelon will lead the free talk:
MIGRANT CONSTRUCTIONS. Reflections on the application of PCP when diversity confuses us
In our experience with asylum seekers we have faced “unexpected” difficulties that brought up some questions: is it possible to work with people whose need for psychological support adds up to more practical needs related with the asylum request? Can Personal Construct Psychology be useful when working with people from different cultural backgrounds? What role do the psychologist’s personal constructs play when s/he struggles in the therapeutic practice with the Other? The Constructivist Conversation draws from these – and other – questions regarding the situations in which diversity may confuse us.
The admission is free but reservation is required. Please, contact us at +39 049 8751669 or icp.scuola@gmail.com
