Jörn Scheer is Emeritus Professor of Medical Psychology at the University of Giessen, Germany. His research areas included psychotherapy, psychosomatic illness, illness behaviour, psychology in medical practice, among others. Since the 1980s he has been involved in Personal Construct Psychology and has published e. g. on ageing, professional socialisation, and the arts. He has edited a number of books, notably on the repertory grid technique, constructions in the arts and cross-cultural issues. He is co-editor of the Internet Encyclopaedia of Personal Construct Psychology and the online journal Personal Construct Theory & Practice, and maintains a number of websites dedicated to the Psychology of Personal Constructs.
