Bio

Spencer A. McWilliams earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Rochester and is currently Professor of Psychology at California State University San Marcos.  He avidly embraced Personal Construct Psychology in the 1970s and has practiced Zen meditation as a student of the late Charlotte Joko Beck, founder of the Ordinary Mind School of Zen, since 1983.  His work has appeared in PCP journals and books and he has presented papers and workshops at international and regional PCP conferences.  His work draws on a range of traditions and perspectives to explore theoretical and practical considerations regarding facilitating awareness of our active participation in creating knowledge and meaning.  He is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Constructivist Psychology and President (2012-2014) of the North American Constructivist Psychology Network
